BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT

Equipment or technology involved in the process of biological purification of waste water.

• Activated sludge process


• Biological treatment system consisting of several processes; aeration, mixing, recirculation, sludge purge, settling and optionally purged sludge treatment and tertiary treatment of effluent for reuse. It can be done in civil Engineering, in precast concrete, FRP, stainless steel, painted or glazed. In this case it is a carousel with an aerated area with diffusers and another anoxia area for reducing nitrogen.

• Membrane bioreactor (MBR)


• Biological treatment system with filtration, simplifying the activated sludge process with the same operating philosophy, but with fewer processes involved: aeration, mixing, sludge recirculation and purge. No settling needed and effluent is tertiary quality to reuse. In this case main bioreactor is an aerated tank in civil engineering and membranes are installed outside the reactor, in a container, where filtering is performed.

• Compact plant


• Biological treatment system consisting of the same processes of activated sludge process; aeration, mixing, recirculation, sludge purge, settling and optionally purged sludge treatment and tertiary treatment of effluent for reuse. In this case is a compact plant with tanks made of FRP.

• Aeration system


• Grid diffusers: Submerged aeration system, to be installed on the bottom of the aeration tank, it can be removable. With different sizes of the diffusers based on space and aeration needed.



• Aerator with vertical axis: Fixed surface aeration system, axis and propellers fabricated from stainless steel. Driven by electrical motor.



• Floating aerator: Moving surface aeration system subject to a float made of stainless steel. Axis and propellers fabricated from stainless steel. Driven by electrical motor.

• Trickling filter


• Inagua has rotary distributor consisting of two or more arms, which varies depending on flow rate and the organic loading rate. It may be driven by the dynamic reaction of the waste water discharging from nozzles or by an electrical motor. We also have plastic packing for the trickling filter is designed to achieve an optimal ratio of area per volume unit while achieving a high free volume for better ventilation and the passage of water. Aeration, mixing or recirculation process are not necessary, so that energy saving is very important.

• Clarifier bridge


• Clarifier is the zone where sludge from biological process is being stored and where they are purged or recycled according to the needs. To achieve a good settling and prevent nitrification problems not desired, bottom is scratched with scraper that are attached to the clarifier bridge. It can be perimeter o diameter construction. It can be manufactured in carbon steel hot dip galvanized or stainless steel.
